The long-awaited PlayStation VR2 is set to release on February 22, 2023, and will be available for purchase globally. The retail prices for the VR headset will start at $549.99 in the United States, €599.99 in Europe, £529.99 in the UK, and ¥74,980 in Japan. These prices include tax for the UK, Europe, and Japan, but keep in mind that retailer prices may vary.

Sony have released a blog post detailing a huge FAQ for the PS VR2. The key takeaway from the FAQ is that over 100 games are in development for PlayStation VR2, which certainly gives the impression Sony are dedicated to making the system work in the long term. The post also states there will be over 30 games available at launch.

As an owner of the original PS VR, although it was about good enough for its time, its technology is certainly very dated in 2023. PS VR2, in contrast, has advanced tech in the headset and when compared to PC equivalents it represents fair value despite the high purchase price. Sony has demonstrated the PS VR2 to the press on several occasions and they have been impressed with the technology on display.
