RUMOUR: Apple is set to make its first product announcement of 2023 on Tuesday, January 17th, according to Apple leaker Jon Prosser. The announcement is expected to include updated MacBook Pros and Mac mini models, featuring the same design as the models announced in October 2021, with improved performance thanks to new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. Apple will also hold briefings with members of the press and media on the new devices ahead of review embargoes lifting next week.
Also, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman appears to corroborate this and tweeted the following this evening:
@markgurman – The new MacBook Pros are imminent (Apple does have an announcement tomorrow – with press briefings later this week and embargoes lifting next Monday).
